Chang (Holly) Liu

My research focuses on biosensing interfaces and translational sensor design, developing systems that combine engineering precision with clinical relevance. I became deeply interested in how sensor technology can bridge the gap between laboratory innovation and patient care, particularly through projects that bring biosensing systems into real clinical environments. Recently, I have worked on an in-ear sensor platform deployed for brain injury patients, which has led to a manuscript under review at ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. My long-term goal is to advance sensor technologies that move beyond prototypes and become trusted, decision-shaping tools in everyday healthcare.
